Imaging Tests 

X-rays, CT scans, or MRI determine the size and location of the bone defect. 

Types of Grafts 

Autograft (patient’s bone), allograft (donor bone), or synthetic graft. 

Anesthesia 

Procedure is done under general or regional anesthesia. 

Incision &  Bone Cleaning

Procedure is done under general or regional anesthesia. 

Graft Placement

Bone is shaped and sterilized as needed. Fitting of graft into the bone defect.

Blood Supply Restoration 

The body starts forming new blood vessels around the graft. 

Wound Closure 

Incisions are stitched or stapled closed to ensure proper wound healing.

Post-Op Monitoring  

Vitals are monitored, and pain-relief medicine is given.
